This is my personal portfolio and little neck of the interwebby-woods. I believe users need an emotional connection to their technology and a product is only as strong as it’s UI.
I am the UX Manager at AMI Entertainment. We make touchscreen game platforms, jukeboxes, and television programming to provide content-rich entertainment solutions, globally. I create menu systems, admin systems, music applications, mobile applications and other websites to be intuitive, beautiful, and fun to use.
Over the past year, AMI Entertainment has set out to create a brand new machine from the ground up, including new hardware and software in a new platform and language. Tasked to upgrade the overall user experience for both customers and end users, I have worked with the creative director, system engineers and game arts team to create flow docs, wireframes, and artwork for different areas of the new system. As part of the online control panel, boot application, and out of box application, I developed the front-end code and worked with the backend UI engineers to create an intuitive process for controlling the new highly flexible machine. The system have undergone internal alpha and external beta testing of which, I conducted video one-way testing with users. Using feedback we were able to upgrade different areas of the system in very little time. This system is feature updated each month.
Megatouch.com is a player focused custom Wordpress powered site, designed to inform players of new game releases (which occur almost monthly) on different platforms and assist with brand awareness. As part of the site, monthly contests run via facebook with a potential for a megatouch.com assist. For the release of Photo Hunt HD on the iPad, a smaller version of the game (a find the difference styled game) was created with a new chance to win every 3 days. For each iPad game, megatouch.com has a custom themed pages to highlight the uniqueness of the application. I created the UI, wireframes, and overall design, with a limited amount of front-end development.

The corporate website is an operator focused site geared to educating users on the different products engineered at AMI Entertainment. I am responsible for the UI, design and functionality and I have worked with the content writing team to generate copy with a less corporate personality. Small widgets, such as product locators, news feeds, and feature requests helps assist potential customers to learn more about AMI. With a name as common as AMI, strengthening SEO by utilizing techniques such as, PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising initiatives on Google and Facebook has been a key goal.
